Hairfall is a common problem amongst almost people of all ages- men and women. Almost 50% people do have hairfall problem , but just a few of them do pay attention to it and those who do, out of them only a fraction does take a remedial action to find its solution. Hairfall has become a very common problem in India in past few decades, in the early stage the density tends to go low but on a later stage it forms a U-pattern which in turn gives a bald look to person. Moreover its not only confined to males but even female baldness is also becoming prevalent (which according to researches is more difficult to be treated).
Most of us feel just loosing a few hairs a day or having hairs in the brush is hair fall. but thats not 100% true. On an average a normal human being has somewhere close to 1,00,000 to 1,70,000 hairs (may vary because of several factors like climate, hormones, gender etc.). Hairloss can never be Zero, so everyone do lose hairs on regular basis, but a anything above a fall of 100 hair strands a day is considered to be hairfall/ baldness. Below 100 strands a day is quite normal and one don't need to worry about the same. But its higher than that then surely its time to seek some solution to stop hair fall. Although due to some false myths that hair regrowth is not possible, people undergo hair transplant surgeries which are very expensive and are not natural. But these myths are being postulated to make big bucks by a cluster of people.
Both young and older women can be susceptible to hair loss. It is not even uncommon for women to experience temporary hair loss due to pregnancy, but this sort of hair loss will resolve itself when the pregnancy is over. On the other hand, permanent hair loss related to heredity, harmful hair treatments or a medical condition can be a blow to a woman's self-esteem.
